• HeiQ is a Swiss materials and textile innovation company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange. It was founded in 2005 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
• The company is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with subsidiaries in Australia, China, Portugal, Taiwan and the US.
• HeiQ has seven manufacturing sites on three continents with a total annual capacity of 45,000 tonnes of material.
• The company has over 200 employees, with over 50 people focused on R&D; it also has an academic research network of over 30 university partners and has nine patent families.
• HeiQ has won 18 major awards in 15 years and is the only two-time winner of the Swiss Technology Award.
• The company has over 300 global brand partners with whom it works on creating innovative performance textile solutions, such as antiviral, anti-odour and temperature-regulating fabrics. Partners include Burton, Calida, Craghoppers, Speedo, Dickies, Patagonia, Royal Robbins and Second Skin, among others.
• In February 2022, HeiQ announced its new HeiQ AeoniQ decarbonising yarn, a continuous Cellulosic filament yarn designed to compete with synthetic fibres. It is made from cellulosic biopolymers, which bind to carbon from the atmosphere when they grow, making the fibre ‘climate positive’.
