• Baralan is a global cosmetic packaging business founded in Milan, Italy, in 1962 that operates in more than 60 countries around the world. The company has headquarters in North America, Italy and China, and more than 500 staff members across the world. 
• Focusing on 360-degree solutions, Baralan creates, designs, engineers, manufactures and customises Glass and plastic containers including their related accessories. It has over 150 glass components in various shapes and sizes in its catalogue, helping to move the cosmetic industry away from plastic packs that have become the go-to over the years.
• In 2022, for its 60th birthday, Baralan has rebranded with a strengthened Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, which sees it add sustainable products to its portfolio and develop corporate-level initiatives to create a more eco-friendly future for the company.
• Collections to come out of this new outlook include its DEA Series, packaging composed of glass airless containers with no internal plastic elements and fewer components. The design comes in a refillable version that allows for the glass container to be replaced, promoting the reusability of components.
• Other ranges include its bio-based packaging range for skin care, fragrance and make-up products that can be recycled in their entirety. Elsewhere, Baralan has also launched a range of closures made with 30%, 60% or 100% PCR content.
• The company offers extensive decoration capabilities for its products, including moulding, acid-etching, varnishing, satin finishing, screen printing and hot stamping, with the use of vitrified enamels and precious metals, such as gold or platinum, as well as a wide range of colours.
